Description
Our logo is the
composition of a triangle and a Greek alphabet. As mentioned in “Why
we chose Co-opetition as our group name” we cooperate with each other’s and at the
same time we complete among ourselves. The triangle means we are a group with 3
members, each of us have got our point of view and opinion. However, at the same time we cooperate, listen
and respect others. The Greek alphabet, Theta in the middle of triangle is the
bridge to connect the three single identities.
There was myth in ancient
China, “ 天圓地方”, translate into English means The
sky is in round shape while the
ground is flat. Mencius, a very famous
Chinese philosopher suggested the flat shape represent human behavior, round
shape represent a series of orders to maintain human behaviors and create a
harmony environment for human beings.
The other reason we
choose Theta is because it is a very common symbol in mathematics to measure
angles. No matter how large or small the angle is, people use Theta as a tool
of measurement.
It is such an enjoyable reading for me. Thanks. I am agree that Creativity and innovation is very important for business nowadays because the environment has been changing rapidly. We need to change in order to gain the viability.
ReplyDeleteAlthough it is true, but creativity and innovative is not the whole picture of successful organisation. If we need to success, there are three things that I think we need to have.
1) Market-Oriented mind. Well, even you are very creative, without the adaption and interest of the market, you would still lose out the market. For example, if you have a great talent to innovate manufacturing product. You are gifted of this. Unfortunately, most of the factories have moved to the emerging market. How can your talent be useful. As a result, I think creativity and innovation must be backing up by the market need.
2) Professionalism. Is it all true that I only make something suitable to be used for the market. I dont think so. We still need to have professionalism. I have been knowing many sales, lawyers or even doctors, they just give something people want without right diagnose of the best interest of the client. They just want to make money for short term without professional point of view. Nowsdays, we are living in a knowledge age. Professionalism is very important. Just creativity and innnovtive without back up by professional point of view, it will not success. For example. even though Economic Journal is more expensive than other very popular newspapers. But it has very special perspectives and very professional comments, many rich people, companies and financial specialists would like to read it everyday.
3) The last one will be execution. I can see that there have been many ideas which is theorically good. Unfortunately, without human resources or money, they can't be success. They have been even more people would like to start up their business, without money, knowledge and experience. Most of them just think without execution. For creativity and innovation. I really agree that many people have these talents, but without good execution, it is hard to be successful
